Graveside

A huge Irish fry up for breakfast - black and white pudding (and it was established that I am rubbish at poaching eggs!)

My uncle Billy's birthday today, sadly he passed away just over a year ago, so a trip to the graveyard was in order to say hello.

Also managed a visit to my mum's grave. Sorry if this is a bit macabre to post on blip, but it was one of the main aims of the day.

Afterwards we retired to the Hilton hotel for Irish coffees, a glass of two of Guinness and a chance to meet up with more cousins and their families.

It was lovely to see them all - and they are always so welcoming.

This evening we managed a short visit with my mum's brother and his family. A very moving experience, and we were very pleased to see them. He is very ill now, but managed a few words with us. There were a few tears after.

Late night trip to Mairead and Ronan's house to meet their family and see 'wee' Des (a very handsome (and still single !!!) cousin.
