Mysore Palace

Today was my last day in India, and my co-worker and I took a day trip to Mysore which is about 2 1/2 hours away from Bangalore. The most well known attraction there is Mysore Palace which is the official residence of the Wodeyar's - the royal family of Mysore. It was absolutely beautiful inside, but they don't allow cameras inside. Unfortunately, we couldn't be there during the evening at a time during the year when they light the entire palace up. An interesting tidbit is that they charge tourists 20x's the price of admission that residents pay....200 rupees for tourists to 10 rupees for residents.
