Hiking along the edge
An early start to drive up to Chesterfield to catch up with Sarah my old university friend - she had planned a walk for us across the gritstone edge of the Peak District - we started at Baslow and then headed past Nelsons monument and down onto the Wellington memorial - a short cut resulted in some seriously challenging wall climbing and mud avoidance - we always end up a bit lost but somehow mange to find our way home - this time to the very welcoming Robin Hoods Inn who served us up a delicious lamb shank
It's always great to spend a day with Sarah - I was very fortunate at university to meet such a nice bunch of people, 24 years on and we are still if not better friends than ever
