Turning a corner

All this week my car has been very much on the iffy side, so much so that the past day it so it even seemed to lack the engine power to even make it up Holmfirth Road!
It was making a whole host of strange spluttering noises, and following on from the weekends problems, I wondered whether my original plan to wait may be something I'd have to dramatically rethink.
I passed a garage in Stalybridge & saw a Mini that had a much more affordable price than I would have imagined so made arrangements to go & see it.
My mum & Haydn offered to come so Haydn could take a look at it with a mechanics eye.
He said he was really good considering it's age & gave it his approval.
The salesman seemed quite fair & explained that he didn't deal with imports but would assist in a part exchange route.
So, he's taken the Mini off sale whilst we try & sort out a buyer for my Figaro.
I'll be sad I see it go as it's been a fun car but nearly 3 years of impracticality are over & at least with a Mini, it's reliable- & yes it is still "small" but it's that bit more child/family-friendly for the foreseeable future.
