Tension
It's always a bit tense, watching the Pars play football - although we were two goals up at this point, about 20 mins into the first half, it was a long time before the fat lady would sing or Sir Jimmywould play the Bluebell Polka. It ended up 4-0; the visiting Notts Forest fan seemed very impressed.
We got back to Edinburgh in time to watch the second half of the rugby, managing somehow to get a seat in the Guildford Arms, which was heaving. When we came out we discovered that several chums including nephew M had been drinking in the Cafe Royal next door, so joined them for yet another beer. I didn't trust myself with a hot stove after all that so we indulged in fish and chips!
