Food drive....GOAL

My kids' school has a food drive each year before Thanksgiving. I am co-chair of the committee which means I really just organize the cans as they come in. But we collect over 7000 so it is a big job.

We met our goal - over 7835.

We give the food to 5 local charities. Three are food pantries who give out emergency food to people in need, and two serve hot food. These big cans go to the Daily Bread who serves hot lunch 365 days a year.

I am amazed at the generosity of our community every year.
