Music and beer!

Cathie, Jo and I went to see Winter Mountain playing in Manchester tonight at The Castle Hotel. A very intriguing venue! It was all refurbished in 2010 to its original style....so well has it been done that at first glance you would think that the decor hasn't been touched for the last 30/40 years! It's only when you look a bit closer that you realise that the place is actually clean!!
Although I enjoyed Winter Mountain, I think that the support act, Bird to Beast, (on the left) had the edge for me! They had more variety in their music style...and played different instruments!

On returning to the car park to go home we soon realised that it all seemed to be locked! Then we found the little sign near the entrance to say that the car park was locked at 10pm for the night!!!
How were we going to get home?
After calling a number and chatting to someone there, we found the little intercom button which put us through to someone else who could then unlock the gate to let us in. Once in we couldn't find a pay machine!!!! We feel that this car park needs to do better with their signs - however the people we talked to over the phone and intercom were very pleasant and helpful. Eventually we found it and managed to get back out and home!! :)
