Had a nice lie-in until 8am and didn't wake during the night, so naturally woke up feeling really tired! Lots of rain this morning so we snuggled up and watched a film.

Visited Dad this afternoon. He keeps forgetting his hip is broken and can't remember why he's actually in hospital but I remind him and it does come back to him for a while. It's never good to see him crying as he thinks it makes him look weak, then he gets angry. So I change the subject as quickly as possible and wait for him to forget what just happened. He won't remember that I visited, but at least I gave him someone to talk to for a while.

I was supposed to be attending a quiz night this evening but my heart wasn't in it, so we all went out to dinner instead. A bit of family time is just what I needed today.
