Henny Penny

Took a last minute decision today to join in a tapestry class run by my neighbour Jane. The theme today was birds. Whilst everyone else was busy with very seasonal robins, I went for a hen.
Jane provides excellent tuition and encouragement, and whilst she knows her stuff she isn't bound by the 'rules' - anything goes. The day is punctuated by regular refuelling provided by Janes lovely husband Graham. And at the end of a busy day I was the last to finish but was rewarded with a glass of wine. Perfect.
Sadly I missed Frozen at the village hall, but did get to see Nebraska. A sad but humorous film, and probably not one I would have chosen to see at the cinema. But it was a hit and one I will think back on for a while.
