Claw

Back to the vet this morning. The claw was all bent and gory and hanging on by a thread so the vet said it had to come off. I asked about an anaesthetic but putting a local in the site of the claw would have caused as much pain as quickly yanking it out. I bottle it and went to sit in the waiting room. Three sharp yelps later and a sober JimmyWorf came back to me - I felt so cruel. But now he's much happier and can walk properly again.

I shall have to do something artistic with the claw.
