The Elvis Presley Sandwich

A very packed day today. We took the train to London as my daughter was singing in Covent Garden with the school choir.

We stopped on the way to have a look at the remaining poppies at The Tower of London and then once the choir concert had finished we went to a restaurant in Farringdon.

I don't usually order a dessert but the Bourbon caramel ice cream sundae sounded too good to miss. My husband ordered the Elvis Presley Sandwich - an ice cream sandwich made with brioche and filled with banana, peanut butter , caramel and candied bacon. ( I have never heard of candied bacon!)

I tried a bit and it was delicious.
