B&W Challenge: Day 3

I think I am bending the rules a bit, but I am really growing quite fond of this monochrome treatment for these winter scenes.

This is the Chesapeake and Ohio canal, taken this morning when it was looking very winterish and icy and I had it all to myself.

I am quite surprised and pleased at the response to my photo yesterday. It is a scene that I have looked at every day for 30 years because I can see this from the end of my driveway. I am very used to it, so it was quite wonderful to read the responses and see it with fresh eyes. Thank you all for sending it to the Spotlight. I am very delighted.
