Two trains
Steam trains must be like buses. You wait ages for one, them two come at the same time. After weeks without seeing any these two were around today - the top one is 'Bittern', with the 'Cathedrals Express' from London to Chester, while the bottom one is 'Duchess of Sutherland' with an excursion from Sheffield to London. They were actually a couple of hours apart where I saw them, but some lucky person probably around Rugby may have got them both in the same shot where they passed. I shall watch the relevant media with interest!
I delayed publishing this until after the Christmas lights switch-on that I mentioned yesterday in case I got a good shot but the darkness and lighting made that impossible. The choir went down well with the crowd though, even though they followed an Olly Murs tribute, five scantily clad lovelies from the local dancing school, Peter Pan & Wendy plus other characters from the forthcoming pantomime (but no sign of Bradley Walsh), and a number of people in various animal costumes. Oh, and Santa Claus, of course.
