Meet the new receptionist at Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, which EdiSteve and I visited today to buy some Christmas cards and toys to help fund the charity. We were delighted to learn that most of the residents will be going to good homes soon.

(They try not to send their charges into the world directly around Christmas, for obvious reasons.)

We left after half an hour, having thoroughly tickled and cuddles the likes of cats Bill, Dave and Gobbalina, and then popped down to Portobello for lunch.
