Baking - continued.

The Great British Bake Off continues to exert an influence. This was called Orange Bread in the recipe book but it is really more like a cake and I made it this morning. I have an elderly copy of a recipe book called "The Glasgow Cookery Book" and it was used by students at the Glasgow and West of Scotland College of Domestic Science. Home economics teachers were trained there for years and if you talk to a home economics teacher of a certain vintage, they have some hilarious stories to tell of the place.
