I came in from the mountain

Decided on a short weekend break. Probably a little far to come for the weekend- around 3 hours in car and train and here we are in Zermatt.

Sort of in between seasons but there is quite of lot of snow around. A few skiers. We settled for a walk and lunch.

Are in a super hotel with balcony looking up to the Matterhorn. The amazing mountain dominates the village.
One of the most charming villages in Switzerland, helped by the fact that there are no cars allowed.

Good to get away, but our thoughts are still with our boy.
