Period
Hampshire Country Council in their wisdom have decided that the village should have fake Victorian street lamps in the core of the village as they are more keeping with the age of the village. The problem is that the village never had public lighting until modern-ish sodium lights were installed in a few streets at the end of the 1960s. So at no time in the past did we have gas lamps or any other kind of lamps other than modern ones... Today's back blip is a picture of one of their "period" street lamps.
Today has been a fraction off, I missed my train because a skip was being delivered and was held up. That was not a good start to the day, however dull and tedious as documentation writing is, the rest of the day went quite well and I've no real complaints!
