"Marijuana…Exhibit A." Jerry Garcia at Woodstock. My son texted me earlier tonight and said, "Woodstock's on VH1", and then a little later he texted again and said, "Thanks for all those days going to school listening to this music. It opened my mind." That was a good text. Then Tom said, "We need another Woodstock now. Music for peace." Josh and Tom have it all right.

This was the best music generation ever. Think of this concert: Richie Havens; Joan Baez; Crosby, Stills, and Nash; The Who; Santana; The Grateful Dead; Jefferson Airplane; Jimi Hendrix; Ten Years After; Country Joe and the Fish; Arlo Guthrie. I will go to the mat with anyone who argues against this generation of music. Simply unbeatable.
