If You Go Down To The Woods...

...today, you'd see lots of toadstools. I'm not sure but this may be the Beechwood Sickener, which is poisonous. If anyone knows differently, I'd love to hear what it is. There were no white spots like on the Fly Agaric.

As we have a very long drive tomorrow, we stayed close to home today and only went as far as Laide.

We spent a couple of hours in Laide Wood, where I found some lovely fungi to photograph. I put my new tripod to good use, as it can get down much lower to the ground than me. The dogs had a wonderful time but their running around probably scared away any wildlife.

We ate lunch at Laide, overlooking the sea and feeling sad about going home tomorrow. It's been the most wonderful holiday and we've been so lucky with the weather.

Can't wait for March when we'll be back :-)
