After HOW LONG?!?

We retired in Feb/Mar 2008. For the second, & final, time.
This is the small, clip on, lamp which went with the binocular, head-set, magnifier. It went into a small drawer the day we left the shop. It's been in that small drawer since then.
In all honesty it fades to useless in seconds, but I was a wee bit gobsmacked, on doing a bit more of what I refer to as "Ausgeflinngen" to find not only had the batteries not leaked, but it still lit up.
It this a record?
