Bury Market

A trip to Bury Market, 'the best market in Britain' (in 2006 anyway). The other accolade I saw was something about being a winning coach trip destination. Wahey.

It was difficult to choose this shot over 'lamb carcass in shopping trolley', 'I need your Mills & Boon' or 'Manchester tarts'.

We stayed in Bury for the weekend and it genuinely seemed like a nice town: Good art gallery including a lot of local artists' work for sale; samba band in shopping centre; trams; cheap crap (not in the art gallery!).
