A year of Glasgow

Pecha kucha

I didn't mean to post this on blip. It was meant for twitter but accidentally put it here.
So to explain, this was a slide from a presentation by a PhD student at Glasgow University who is doing research in one of the schools I work with. She is looking at how young people from Poland develop English and whether they sound more Glaswegian if the are more comfortable and settled here. She's only just started so I'm really looking forward to seeing what she finds out.
Pecha kucha is a special kind of presentation - a fixed number of slides that automatically move on at fixed intervals (eg 12 slides of 30 seconds each) so the presenter has to be well planned and disciplined.
My work twitter account, if you are interested, is @EALGlasgow.
