Most Precious

Water. We totally depend on it for our lives. The plants, animals, and all of us. I think about this frequently now because in Alaska we have abundant ice cold clean water straight from the tap.
In Oaxaca water comes from the tap, but we can't drink it. (However it can be used for many other purposes.) Water companies ply the streets selling 20 liter containers to households. Trucks that hold 10,000 liters deliver to holding tanks in restaurants and living compounds.
And we know there are so many places in the world where this most precious of resources is just not available or people have to walk miles for it.
Today I walked through a park past this lovely fountain - the sound and sight of splashing water was a pleasure to people who were taking photos, sitting on the edge or on benches close by.
How lucky and thankful we are.
