'The Survival Guide to Midwifery' was delivered to me this morning, and I added it to my growing stack of midwifery-related books with glee. I'm about 3/4 of the way through 'Call the Midwife' at the moment and I can honestly say I think I've learnt more about the profession from it than I have from the Oxford Handbook. I've certainly learnt how life regarding pregnancy and birth has changed since the 50s. The great thing is that there are two more volumes in the trilogy by Jennifer Worth; I can't wait for the next.
