At Ross: A little care.....
Sam is a person who pays a lot of attention to detail. This is a good thing for Jack. Not that he is the type of pony that requires a lot of attention. He is a rough type of cob, but certainly very patient and understanding.
The boys squabble over who is going to pick his feet out this evening. It is lucky that Jack has enough legs to spare, so that everyone can have a go. Sam sticks to the back legs. Beau to the front. The back is a little more tricky. Not just that the horse is more likely to bear its weight down on you, but also keeping a keen eye on your positioning. Stay to the side enough and keep your head out of the way in case he kicks out. Sam has some points to perfect. Jack is very patient and I wonder why. I am guessing its to do with knowing them since he was a foal. They are perhaps one of his herd to him.... who knows...
