Cape Canalloa
It was pitch black down here at old Alloa harbour as I sneaked around in the dark looking for something to shoot. Then the flare stacks ten miles down the Forth at the Grangemouth started venting flaring off the excess gas (it made a 'sheesh' sound), and it made it look like the huge pylons were about to launch spaceward. It fairly (flarely?) lights up the clouds when that happens, and sets off the derelict pier nicely against the mud too.
Fortuitous bit of timing, and a delicate act of balancing the camera on a monopod up against one of the old wooden stumps to catch this one tonight.
