In support of breast cancer patients
Sorry I'm posting a day late. Life is a bit busy just now. Thanks for all your interest in Guy. He is hanging on to life, but more tenuously now and is peacefully sleeping most of the time.
Mum's embroidery group have been involved in a project to make breast pockets. These are the size of the breast pocket on a blouse and are being made to honour women who have had breast cancer but chose not to have reconstructive surgery. It's an American project, initiated by a breast cancer patient called Melanie Testa. The pockets are all being shipped to the US and I think there will be some sort of exhibition.
On the back you write your own name and the name of the person you know with breast cancer. In Mum's case it's my cousin, Margaret, who is undergoing yet more chemo at the moment, thankfully with some good effect.
This pocket glistens and glints in the light but you have to move your head to get the full effect.............not evident in a still photo!
