Red River

Wondering what these people are looking at? It's the river of red mud that wasn't there 15 minutes earlier! Previously it was bone dry. I captured this after being caught out while getting stores from the supermarket. This was the start of a full day of thunderstorms, much worse than yesterday. The main road outside our apartment building was closed due to flooding and I wouldn't be surprised if this river comes up and over the bridge. It looks like the rain may last for another few days yet as a big storm passes over the Canaries. If only the internet would work properly I could use the time spent indoors productively but as it is, we're stuck with watching old movies and reading, which frankly I'm getting a bit bored with.
