Conequenesing Creek
Our final day in Pa. we rose early and did a therapeutic walk that overlooked this lovely creek as they call it. It's one that has flooded many times in the past....it is behind the mobile home where Big R's folks live. Once it rose so high it did flood their crawl space ruining their wiring down there...the waters completely surrounded their home. Once man down from them had to be air lifted off his roof!
But this day the creek was calm and peaceful and autumn tones lined the banks visually delighting me. I had to climb a bit down and get closer to capture this lovely creek.
Our goodbyes were hard as his foks are quite old and his dad has major health issues. Many issues concern us with them and their ability to function independently now. They live so isolated in such a rural area. It is difficult. The plane ride was long, delayed on the Chicago tarmac and not fun.. But we survived with many memories from this journey...many many good ones and some sad and worrisome too.
