Baby steps

First paddle of the Pulse on (slightly) bumpy water. At 43cm wide it is not the most forgiving of boats, but the conditions played along with some small waves that gradually built up as the Erme estuary filled up with the tide.

By the end I was feeling confident enough to manage a snatched (blurry) photo from the hot seat and enjoying gliding along on waves that were barely there.

Finished off with some remount practice. Managing to do it with the paddle in my hand now - though putting a few scratches on the boat - and one in five was actually successful, which is progress....
