My favorite lonely tree
A cottonwood tree, so big that it is hard to get it all in one shot :-)
This tree gets the most beautiful yellow fall coloring on its leaves but I came back a little too late from Oregon this year to take a picture of its full glory. Posted a picture of it last year in October too.
Today no comments here as I need a little time to catch up on yesterday's response.
I was really touched by all your thoughtful and extensive comments. Thanks for the stars and faves too!
I am just thinking that for most European people who get older it applies that they are surrounded by furniture that has a history in some way. We have collected so many things over the course of our lives. Only in the USA I have met people who had either bought houses already fully equipped with relatively new and neutral furniture, inclusive all decoration pieces or had a company do all the furnishing and decorating of their house. You need some money for that but it seemed always rather impersonal to me. As if I would have to live in a model home...
