"YOU CAN ALWAYS LOOK AROUND.....

…..and see someone worse off than yourself."

That is such a true saying and especially today when I called round to see my friend, Caroline, who just over 2 weeks ago fell and broke both her arms - ouch!!

I must admit when she put this as her status on her Facebook page, I thought it was one of those "silly" statuses and wasn't going to respond, but looking down the responses from various other friends, I realised it was true.

Caroline wasn't up to having visitors just after her accident, but she said I could visit today and it was good to see and hear her being so positive - but life is not easy! We chatted and laughed and for a while we both forgot we had any health issues - in fact, when I asked if she would mind being my Blip today, she said she had been half expecting me to ask!

When I needed to use her downstairs loo, Caroline told me not to shut the sliding door, otherwise I would be locked in and she had no way of getting me out - reminded me of the song about an old lady being locked in the lavatory, so I sang that and we laughed again. Laughter is so good for the soul!

If you have a positive attitude
And constantly strive
To give your best effort
Eventually you will overcome
Your immediate problems
And find you are ready
For greater challenges.

With Caroline's bionic arm and my silver legs, we were "a right pair" but who knows, if we stay this positive, we might both be running the marathon next year!! Come on, Caroline, we can do it!!!
