changing the skyline

wow!! what a day... got home from work and the tree toppers were nextdoor taking down 2 gum trees or big black walls of foliage. they have been there for about 28 yrs... anyway I grabbed the trusty Nikon and about 500-600 pics later, they were at ground level. I was on our side of the fence, their side of the fence, up on our deck, and out on the road to see the landmarks disappear...no1. pretty much all there, no2. there is a guy in each tree one was in cherry picker and one was using ropes and harness. no3.down to last bit of foliage..no4. nearly all gone....after they got down to the chunky branch and trunks a truck with a container and hiab came, they put a chain on the next bit to be cut guy used chainsaw, made cut hiab lifted bit into container.. they started at 10.30am finished 6.30pm..great team work.. now we have LIGHT!!!!
