Oot and a boot

A quick trip up to The Woodlands for Leejohnaire to have his two-day chemo pump disconnected, followed by a spot of sushi for lunch. On our way home, we stopped off in Tomball town center. We had been hoping for a blip and an ice cream at Nonnie’s Soda Fountain shop but had to settle for just a blip as Nonnie’s was closed for a couple of days for renovations. I look forward to establishing exactly what those renovations may have entailed in the very near future – as long as it still involves their home-made ice cream!

What I love about the center of Tomball is that most of the stores there appear to be small one-off shops owned and run by locals and they have a very traditional, Texan feel to them. As a result, when I noticed this old-fashioned-looking Cowboy and Motorcycle Boot shop, I felt it just looked like it would enjoy a vintage ‘Wild West’ photo treatment.
