Bonfire night

As I was leaving the castle to head home I noticed that people were gathering on the Esplanade so I stopped to see what was going on. It seemed to be a gathering of Scottish Nationalists with Saltire and Yes flags, there to celebrate Guy Fawkes night. The light was quite dramatic both artificial and the light from the full moon filtering through the clouds. I took quite a few photos (and was wishing I had a tripod) but picked this one of the participants as they gathered toward the light to have their photo taken. I liked the result but wish that I had been able to take a longer exposure while keeping the camera still.
After all that standing around in the cold it's time to enjoy a glass of wine and the fact that I'll have a leisurely morning to myself tomorrow!
