In the Spotlight
It was the coldest morning of 2014 in my little town of Perla, Arkansas. I had the sudden inspiration to go for a walk to photograph the frost covered landscape. Just breaking dawn, the sun was peeking through the nearby trees. I stood alone in the middle of the field, scanning all 180 degrees for something to catch my eye. Success! The most beautiful sunbeam squeezing through the trees. Shining like a spotlight on a small plant in front of me. The frost melted; waking it from its winter nap.
