November Theme Challenge: Wednesday Wisdom – thoughts, words, ideas or situations to make us think!

Today has mostly been spent with the dogs, a quick wander this morning followed by a much longer jaunt at lunchtime. Randomly, I chose to go to Evie beach as I fancied a change. Low tide provided plenty of zooming space for the dogs and plenty of beach combing opportunity for me.

Whilst there lost in thought I suddenly realised what my blip would be. Nearby at Tingwall Pier there is Betty's Reading Room. An old bothy lovingly restored to remember a friend and containing hundreds of books, many sofas, trinkets and interesting little bits and pieces. There is even a wood burning stove, a basket of logs, a vase of flowers, many hanging lanterns, even a dog bed... and so much more. It was just too much to take in at one go.

It has a lovely calming atmosphere and is open for you to sit and read, borrow or swap books. A definite place to return to and spend more time in. As I was there the dipping sunlight was coming in through the windows and shedding light on some of the bookcases. There are probably many words of wisdom contained in this one very special room, I will return with My Love.
