Playing it by ear

A very full on day in the office made doubly difficult this afternoon by an old fashioned fatigue attack that nearly floored me. Had to go straight from work to a dance performance organised by the charity I chair. Hoping to relax and just enjoy it, I got involved when technical problems arose. Not only did I have to get up and welcome an audience of 200 people and apologise for late running, I then had to become a steward due to seat allocation problems and finally step in when the video camera stopped working and use my little panasonic lumix which does have a pretty good video on it. Got home rather later than I expected.

Rather like this piano player in the theatre foyer, I was definitely playing it by ear today ...
