Pork in white wine casserole, carrots & broccoli

Yesterday we went to IKEA and bought some wardrobes. We really wanted to up-cycle some old ones, but we couldn't find the right thing and our clothes have been hanging from picture rails for long enough. So, clean lines from IKEA it is, even if everything seems to be made from compressed chicken droppings. They said that you couldn't fit these particular ones with a ceiling height of less than 244cms. As ours is only 240cms we had to use some ingenuity and build the things in an upright position rather than the easier "assemble them on the floor and raise them against the wall afterwards". Still, with a few skinned knuckles from me and exemplary strength from Mrs Mac the three carcasses went together okay, even if it took us four hours (including coffee breaks and a wee sit down from time to time) At one point I dropped one of the special thingamyjigs that screw into the "wood" and accept the "screwy widget" that pulls everything together tightly. It fell directly into the tiny crevice between floorboards and skirting and disappeared forever into the foundations of our house. So I had to disassemble one of the small bookcases from the study and rob a thingamajig from there. But, eventually we got there with the wardrobes and everything was erect, just as usual! Pork in white wine casserole was a doddle after that and would have taken me half an hour, except that the cooker timer needed reset as a result of me having short circuited the whole house whilst removing an electrical socket. But hey, that's a whole other story!
