Weavers

Another long day, with long drives in very hazy skies.

Visited a weaving mill run by a Taiwanese company who have moved equipment and workers north from Shanghai in search of lower costs and a better skilled labour market.

The weaver on the left is one of their more experienced staff whose job it is to re-commission the looms.

The old looms are pretty much unique - it it wasn't for the lighting, this picture could be eighty years old...
