Chantler's November Theme Challenge - Wednesday Wisdom

Is it wise to go out after dark? Alone? We live our lives often imprisoned by caution, wrapped up in the supposed safety of our homes, because, as women, it has often been considered to be risky to go out after dark, particularly as the night draws on. And yet our streets should be safe. We shouldn't have to fear the dark. And a city is often at its most beautiful in the dark....

These are the Christmas lights round our local area. Not grand, but they still brighten up a cloudy late Autumn evening.
