Standing

A large standing stone in the townland of Faranamanagh. One of a group, one fallen with another anomalous stone which may be a fallen third member of a standing group and/or reused as a burial. One of the fallen stones has cup-marks on the surface. This one stands around 7 feet high.

We went to the film 'Finding Vivian Maier' last night. If you don't know her work look HERE. Her story is fascinating and she left literally thousands of negatives, undeveloped rolls of film, ciné film and tape recordings. Her work was discovered by John Maloof who also made the film. Highly recommended for the story, an insight into her life, work and people who knew her. Do see it if you can.
