another day, another flower

To the GP’s surgery first thing, for a blood test. Take my camera in the hope of blipping something other than a colourful leaf or yet another bit of my guitar. I decide that a shot of arm and needle would probably warrant, like the new Paddington Bear film, a PG rating, so decide against it.

On the way back, stop at new ‘parade’ of restaurants. They’re all major chains, all offering a different take on the humble chicken; Mexican, Portuguese, American, Italian and ‘World’. You’re bound to have them in your town. I really feel for the chicken. And my photos are as predictable as the menus.

When I get home the mess that is the front garden offers some salvation, in the form of a Salvia. Yet another plant that I thought would have packed its bags by now. (I was tempted to make a joke about it being as tough as the aforementioned chicken. But that would be unfair.)

There’s an email waiting from the British Lung Foundation. They’re planning to roll out a Singing for Breathing programme across the UK and would I be willing to join their advisory panel and attend planning meetings in London? Would I!!

It’s not the bit about ‘we’ll pay your expenses’ that grabs my attention; my first thought is; London …… new blip opportunities.

The meetings won’t start until next year so I will have to rely on the old standbys until then.
