My experiment with HDR


Wanting to just try out HDR I plumped for a re-take of my ‘glass and lighting’ shoot last Saturday and Sunday, this time with the image I rejected because of burn out.

The image on the left is the shot taken using just three frames, merging and touching up with PS. Near as d*** it to what I was aiming at in the first place.

The image on the right is the best for the pattern on the bottom of the glass and adjusted using PS “Shadows and Highlights”, which could do nothing about the burnt out section.

My jury is now back in and has given a guilty verdict for HDR – useful as found. Many thanks to Hobbs for bringing the subject to light.

Next is to use HDR for something more interesting!!
