Volleyball Banquet!

This is a photo of the seniors at our volleyball banquet. After every season we end with a banquet. This year the banquet was in our school cafeteria and we had a local restaurant cater. At each table there were little chocolate bars that had volleyball wrappers on them. I thought this was a really neat idea. After one of the booster parents made some opening remarks, we started to go through the food line. There was mashed potatoes, filling, ham, turkey, gravy, green beans, corn, bread, and applesauce. The food was delicious! After we were done with our main meal, we of course had to go for some dessert and we could choose between chocolate cake with peanut butter icing or apple pie. After everyone was done eating we watched a slideshow of the pictures my mom took throughout the season. After the slideshow, the coaches came to the front of the room to give their speeches. The JV coach, Coach Sandler, talked about her the JV season. She talked about how much they improved throughout the season. The varsity coach spoke next. She gave us a recap of the season and some statistics throughout the season. She spoke a little bit about each senior, too. All the players received a gift, and it was a personalized drawstring backpack. The seniors each got a jacket. These are the jackets we are wearing in this photo. They have our name and graduation year on the front, and one the sleeve it says which positions we played. It’s hard to come to the realization that the season is really over, but I will always remember it and the memories we made.
