The Disgruntled Ouroboros

Still feeling under the weather I decided some fresh air would be the ticket.

I was having the most wonderful snooze on the banana chair in the garden(one of those yummy dribbly ones) when a very strange sound woke me with a start.

What a strange sight it was that met my eyes…I actually thought I was still dreaming until I heard a snicker under my chair.

Guess who? It was Mr Toad.
He knew I hadn’t blipped for several days so he created a fabulous and magical scene to take a pic of….what a Champ.

Lizard…who was very disgruntled had been a bit mischievous so Mr Toad thought he would teach him a lesson…the poor thing had been plastered to the wall for days and was so hungry he started to eat his own tail……little did he know that by doing so he turned into a Ouroboros and created a portal that turned a very ordinary scene into something rather fantasmagorical with bubbles and planets and probably the most strange thing….two Terns nesting on the roof…so far from the ocean.

Flynn of course had to check out what was going on through the window.

I won’t tell you what Mr Toad told me about the crimes of Lizard…suffice to say I don’t think he will be doing it again very soon thats for sure.

I think Mr Toad is a very fabulous fella..he really does keep things in check and even though he is rather ugly and a bit rough around the edges I really like him a lot.

FYI…….
The Ouroboros often symbolizes self-reflexivity or cyclicality, especially in the sense of something constantly re-creating itself, the eternal return, and other things such as the phoenix which operate in cycles that begin anew as soon as they end. It can also represent the idea of primordial unity related to something existing in or persisting from the beginning with such force or qualities it cannot be extinguished. While first emerging in Ancient Egypt, the Ouroboros has been important in religious and mythological symbolism, but has also been frequently used in alchemical illustrations, where it symbolizes the circular nature of the alchemist's opus. It is also often associated with Gnosticism, and Hermeticism.
