Ohau Canal

This is the canal where we attempted to catch a salmon today . For those who don't know ,these canals are home to salmon farms and there are often fish that escape but continue to live close to the farm,attracted to the regular feed I imagine. So,we're having salmon for dinner,a real beauty . . .bought from the salmon farm shop! The fish were the winners today,I'm quietly pleased.
