USS Midway

San Diego, California -- We arrived in San Diego late this morning, and we're enjoying that city's typically beautiful weather -- warm, breezy, sunny, and very pleasant.

We walked off the ship and strolled a few hundred feet down the pier to visit the USS Midway, an aircraft carrier that dates back to the end of World War II, and was decommissioned in 1992.  There are lots of aircraft from different eras on display on the decks, as well as the opportunity to tour the inside of the ship to see the crew's quarters, mess, ready rooms, etc.  This all made Mr. W very happy!
