Abbey Ambling

Another day with my sister today. We went for an afternoon walk down to Kirkstall Abbey which was lovely even if the weather was a bit grey. We had way too much fun with the dressing up box in the visitors centre before heading to Headingly for coffee before church.

Last time I came to the abbey I didn't get to go round on the inside so it was nice to be able to go all the way in. This particular photo is the main church, apparently at one point in its history, after the monastery has closed down, this path was part of the main road into Leeds. Fun fact.
