Lunch in the sun

Today we had planned to head into Edinburgh on the train, as we had promised CJ a train ride - however, due to engineering work there were no trains running on our line.

So instead we decided to walk over to the national heritage property across the road - with CJ riding on his new buggy board! He loved being pushed along, but also loved the freedom of being to get off and walk when he wanted to.

We decided to stop and have lunch at the cafe and as it was such a nice day we sat outside. CJ came and helped me order - and I'm pretty sure the only thing he saw in the cafe was a biscuit! So, we agreed that if he ate his jacket potato we would come back and get him one.

He rushed back to the table and ate brilliantly - so off we went to get him the biscuit. CJ was so excited, but unfortunately the biscuit was a little too big for him to eat whole, so we suggested it should be cut in half - an action he was determined to do himself!

After he'd finished his biscuit (with some help from S2) we headed home for an afternoon of hanging lights and playing with trains!
